Brownies 😍😍 Thermomix

For today's dessert my 2yr old picked brownies.  She helped with everything along the way.  The recipe was simple to follow and she thoroughly enjoyed it.  She did get a shock at the very start when it grinded the chocolate, that was a little loud but otherwise it was easy peasy.

Lentil Curry (Dahl) thermomix

We made lentil Curry today. I love Dahl and usually add a whole load of bits and pieces. I've never been a person to follow a recipe.  Today I followed the whole recipe without adding anything else 😂😂  It was lovely! We served it with rice.  It made enough for 4 adults and a child.  I did give it an extra blend at the end because my eldest eats with his eyes! 😂😂

Cheese Triangle Scones Thermomix

The sun is actually shining here on the west coast of Ireland and we're making the most of it in the back garden.  We decided to make some cheese triangle scones today.  Again so simple with the thermomix.  Pick the recipe and follow the steps.   They were absolutely delicious and definitely on my favourites list.

First dinner with thermomix TM6

After making the cheese scones (which were delicious!!) We decided to try some dinner.  We picked chicken korma from the cookidoo app.  We got the list of ingredients and pressed start.  It really is like the idiot's guide to cooking!! The screen tells you everything you have to do, every step of the way.  It roasted, grinded and mixed all the spices and onions. The smell was amazing. After cooking the ingredients we added the raw chicken - this is where I was skeptical. The machine automatically sets itself according to the cookidoo recipe. The chicken cooked in the sauce for ten minutes and it came out perfectly cooked!! The dinner tasted amazing and got a big thumbs up from everyone.   Chicken Korma  https://cookidoo.co.uk/recipes/recipe/en-GB/r120214

First meal with the Thermomix TM6

After unboxing the thermomix TM6 we decided to give it a go.  My 11yr old was mad to try something.  We had a look in presses to see what ingredients we had and then had a quick search on cookidoo.  She found these Cheese Scones https://cookidoo.co.uk/recipes/recipe/en-GB/r80571 The machine literally told her everything she had to do from turning on the oven and greasing the trays to what ingredients to use, when and how much.  The screen shows clearly each step. It shows the scales as you're adding your flour/butter/cheese etc. Then you hit "next" after each stage and it shows what the next step is. It's very easy to follow and in less than ten minutes we had a scone dough ready to roll and cut up.  The scones baked for 15 minutes and they were delicious! Highly recommend this recipe.  In total it was less than 30 minutes from start to finish and that includes cleaning.  I think this is a great recipe and you could always change it up by adding other ...

The arrival of my newest baby

Today my Thermomix TM6 arrived! It's even more beautiful in person.  I had an online demonstration of the machine last week (because of the coronavirus we couldn't do it in person)  It was everything I wanted and more so I went ahead with the purchase.  Delivery wasn't too long either, 3 days from day of purchase to delivery.  In the box you get the TM6 with bowl, lid, measuring jug, spatula, butterfly whisk, mixing blade, varoma (basket, tray and lid) and the simmering basket. It also comes with a cook book with loads of recipes.  When I turned it on, it took quite a few minutes to start up. Then I had to set the language and enter the WiFi password. I logged into my cookidoo account (I had set it up prior to delivery of the thermomix) and I was ready to go.  I rinsed out the jug before doing anything else.  Here are some pictures of the machine and accessories.
